For Rebecca’s Cape Cod summer home, designer Paulina Garza envisioned a living room that evokes the calm of the shoreline while offering refined comfort for family and friends. The result is a study in balance—airy yet grounded, understated yet full of texture.

A sleek, neutral-hued sofa stretches the length of the space, layered with pillows in deep indigos and sea-glass greens that mirror the coastal surroundings. Opposite, sculptural armchairs in pale wood and soft cream fabric frame the view toward the sunlit windows, while indigo poufs add both softness and versatility.
The centerpiece, a warm wood coffee table, sits atop a richly patterned rug in moody navy and cream—a grounding counterpoint to the light streaming through the glass doors. Twin ceramic table lamps in classic blue and white sit atop round wood side tables, their soft light warming the space as day turns to evening.

Art and accents bring subtle drama: a triptych of coastal prints in gilded frames draws the eye, while a round mirror above the fireplace reflects the greenery outside, amplifying the sense of space and airiness.
This living room feels distinctly Cape Cod—casual and inviting, yet curated with a quiet sophistication that will carry it through many summers to come.
