Design Highlights
An Airy Palette: Agreeable Gray walls instantly opened the room, replacing heaviness with a soft backdrop. Layered neutrals in bedding and upholstery bring a cocooning warmth without feeling closed in — the essence of a calming neutral bedroom.
Texture as Luxury: Bouclé, linen, and soft knits add depth and a tactile richness to the space. A subtle rug grounds the room with visual softness, while pillows in earthy green and rust bring natural accents without overwhelming.
Warm Wood & Brass Accents: Light oak tones in the bed and nightstands balance with matte black and brass details, achieving a sophisticated mid-century contemporary mix.
Modern Artwork & Greenery: Abstract, nature-inspired art pairs with living greenery to breathe life into the room, striking harmony between clean lines and organic softness.
Lighting for Atmosphere: Layered lighting — from sculptural bedside lamps to a central fixture — ensures the room shifts effortlessly from bright mornings to quiet evenings.
Overcoming Challenges
The biggest challenge was scale: Maggie wanted a space that felt open, not crowded. By carefully selecting furniture with slender silhouettes and keeping the palette cohesive, Allison ensured the room feels expansive despite its footprint.
