When Survi and her partner reached out to Seeded, they had one simple goal: to create a living room that felt cozy, elegant, and functional without worrying about dog hair or clutter.
“We’re a couple with two dogs. They also like to sit with us on the couch or around,” Survi shared in her design brief. “We’re looking for furniture that feels luxurious but is easy to maintain.”
The couple loved the natural light that poured in through their apartment’s window nook and imagined setting up two swivel chairs there – a spot to relax, read, or enjoy the view. But the space was small, and they knew every choice needed to count. They also hoped to keep the design flexible enough to move with them when they upgraded to a new home.
Finding the Style Direction
Designer Paulina Garza began the project with two distinct mood directions through Seeded’s Idea Boards.
Idea 01 leaned into a mid century modern look: clean lines, leather accents, and subtle pops of black and blue. “This version was cozy and tailored,” Paulina explained. “But I wanted to also show an option that felt softer and more organic.”
Idea 02, in contrast, featured earthy greens and warmer wood tones. The palette was lighter, with touches of organic texture in rugs and decor.
Survi quickly gravitated to the second direction. “I liked Idea 2 compared to Idea 1,” she replied. “The warmer colors and natural feel suit our space better.”
That early alignment helped Paulina define a clear visual tone – one that balanced modern structure with inviting, lived in comfort.
Evolving the Concept
Building on that direction, Paulina created two Concept Boards that translated Survi’s style preferences into real furniture and layout ideas.
Concept 01 featured an organic modern approach: a soft neutral sofa, light oak tables, and textured ottomans and rugs. “The bookcase
ecomes the main focal wall next to the window,” Paulina noted. “While the existing leather chair adds character and warmth.”

Concept 02 introduced more color through a forest green sectional and contrasting black accents. It felt livelier and more contemporary – a nod to the couple’s modern taste.
Survi loved the vibrancy of Concept 02 but offered a few refinements:
“We liked concept 2 more mainly due to the color pop and green sectional,” she said. “But we don’t want a black coffee table – something in organic oak would be better.”
She also requested a modern TV console, additional greenery, and perhaps a single swivel chair instead of two.
Paulina responded with a revised concept that merged both visions – keeping the bold sectional and layered textures, but softening the palette with wood tones and natural materials. “I want to check in the renderings if two swivel chairs fit,” she wrote, “and if not, I’ll just do one.”

Bringing the Vision to Life in 3D
The final stage transformed the design into a fully realized digital space. Using Seeded’s 3D design planner, Paulina presented photorealistic renderings that captured the room’s flow, light, and texture.
“I decided to go with a sofa instead of a sectional so that it doesn’t block either the door or the TV console,” she explained when sharing the 3D version. The revised layout created an open walkway between the kitchen and living area while centering the seating around the TV – perfect for movie nights and weekend lounging.
The palette stayed grounded in nature: forest green upholstery, a woven jute rug, and oak tables layered with neutral textiles. Plants framed the window nook, adding freshness and movement to the small footprint.
“I loved the design,” Survi wrote back. “Can you update the layout to center around the TV and change the sofa to this Joybird sectional we really liked? It’s so comfortable – we’re loungers!”
Paulina incorporated the new sectional, refined the lighting mix, and adjusted the accessories. The final space felt cohesive, organic, and unmistakably personal – proof of how collaborative online design can be when guided by real conversation and smart tools.
A Design That Works Hard and Looks Good Doing It
Every piece in Survi’s living room was chosen for beauty and practicality. The performance fabric sofa handles dog hair and everyday wear. The oak coffee table is low and sculptural but easy to clean. And the rug adds warmth without trapping fur.

By blending designer expertise with Seeded’s AI powered recommendations and visualization tools, Survi could preview her entire room – layout, colors, and furniture – before purchasing a single item. The experience turned what could have been a stressful, piecemeal process into a guided journey that balanced creativity with confidence.
“It’s been such a joy working with you,” Paulina wrote in her final note. “I can’t wait to see your space come to life.”
